Khyentse Foundation

Rinpoche has the long-term vision of supporting future generations of Buddhist students and practitioners through innovations in education systems worldwide. The Foundation’s efforts are concentrated in three major areas:

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Efforts are underway to develop Buddhist education curricula for kindergarten to secondary levels, to be disseminated digitally. We are also exploring the sponsorship of Buddhist leadership management courses and conferences for young Buddhists. And the Foundation is leading an initiative to develop a networking site for dharma educators.

TEACHING TEACHERS

The Foundation is developing a variety of training and exchange programs to train Tibetan and western Buddhist teachers.

SPECIAL SUPPORT FOR COUNTRIES WITH INDIGENOUS BUDDHIST HERITAGE

The Foundation provides targeted support to India, China, the Theravadin countries of Southeast Asia, as well as East European countries.
