What fundamentally drives people may effect the way they perceive spirituality in any form. In some cultures, that may be success at all costs, in others it may be manipulation and control of lesser beings and the masses. The haves and have nots need to exist in some sort of symbiotic relationship where there is enough cross-over and some semblance of mutual respect where it’s due. Classism has never resulted in a good outcome long term in human history.

People may seek nirvana, inner peace or happiness. But until we can really define what makes humans tick and their desire to remain on the surface of the earth, a lot of this is just intellectual blatherings? Since the Guru drinks Bourbon, perhaps he can address the whole issue of mixing opiods with whiskey? Reminds one of the song line that goes “them good ol’ boys drinking whiskey and rye, singing…..” They do say immersion is a better way of learning than book knowledge. The mind is a very complicated thing. Not something to be taken lightly with mindless (excuse the pun) experimentation.
