Wonderful!!
Great little video…what is the music being played?
It is by the Gundecha Brothers.
It’s a great privilege to become a member Khyentse Rinpoche’s foundation. I am entering into the state of liberation.
I love this! Thank you!
Thank you! And for the music!
I think it’s the (senior) Dagar brothers. (If not, it may be Gundecha brothers.) Dagar family are the most renowned contemporary dhrupad musicians. The newest generation of them tour around the world and are very good… Their family has vocalists and also excellent rudra veena instrumentalists.
So good video, thanx for making it!
According to ‘Shazam’ the music is by the Gundecha Brothers, ‘Raag Gaoti (alap) 4
Thank you Colin! That is correct. I will change our caption. – NJ

Tears. Inspired. Thanks.
Yes, music is Raad Gaoti (Aalaap) by the Gundecha Brothers. From their album Dhrupad. 🙂
video makers..when you make a video with words, say the text out loud and this is the amount of time it should be left on the screen – it is the difference between being able to read something and missing it completely. love the list and the music but not together, they feel like they are competing. perhaps next time give musicians credit too! thanks for sharing!
I disagree with one reason to visit india. Since india ia never birthplace of buddha. BUDDHA was born in Lumbani Nepal.
Thank you for watching the video. Yes, Buddha was born in Lumbini, which is in present day Nepal. Rinpoche’s phrasing was “India gave us the Buddha…” which is a little different from Buddha was born in India. However, it could be said that these borders are very transitional, the Shakyamuni clan reigned an area that spanned what is now India and Nepal. He is often referred to an Indian Prince. We appreciate your attention!
Very inspiring! Thank you very much…could be longer 🙂
Reply to Pema Ugyen – In the Buddha’s time, all that area was India, but not as a “country” ruled by a government but as a culture. Nepal also follow the Indian culture.
Again, just because now Tibet is part of China, does not make Dalai Lama a Chinese. In the same way, just because nowadays Lumbini is part of Nepal, does not make necessarily Siddhartha a Nepali.
Following the logic of Pema Ugyen, we should say that Dalai Lama is Chinese!?!?!?
Again, SIDDHARTA was born in Lumbini but BUDDHA was was born (arouse) in Bodhigaya 🙂
But I love Nepal very much, specially their people…Chinese as well, as Dalai Lama says “We should be respectful to the elder chelas (disciples) of Buddha”.
