Anja is an executive coach and counselor to top managers from global companies in energy, industrial equipment, private equity, and many other sectors. She is the owner of bucketrider, a company she founded in 2013 to support senior executives in dealing with the mental, emotional, and psychological challenges of leading in an ever-changing, uncertain, and unpredictable business environment. Before this, she was a consultant and partner with McKinsey & Company, Inc. for 12 years, leading more than 100 projects on strategic and organizational topics with companies around the globe. Anja has more than 20 years of experience as a personal coach and mentor to individuals and to teams, ranging from one-on-one coaching, to small executive team development work, to larger scale work with intra- and cross-organizational teams. She studied history, philosophy, and computer science, and holds an MA and a PhD from Philipps-University Marburg as well as a postdoctorate degree from Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. Anja met Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in 2002. Starting that year, she led the teams that translated Rinpoche’s commentaries on Chandrakirti’s Madhyamakavatara and Maitreya’s Uttaratantra into German. She now serves on the Academic Development Committee is a member of the board of directors. Anja lives in Hamburg with her son.
