Badrinarayanan Srinivasan

KF India Board Member, India Program Committee

Badrinarayanan graduated as an architect in 1982 and established a modest but intense multi-disciplinary architecture and design practice in 1994. He also simultaneously taught part-time at many architecture schools and developed an interest in applying Experiential Learning Theory to design studio pedagogy. He completed his doctorate on creating a learner-centric architectural education model at the School of Planning and Architecture Delhi and joined as Professor at the department of Interior Architecture and Design at Pearl Academy, where he presently teaches full time. He acquired a PG in Higher Education from Nottingham Trent University, UK, and has published papers on design education in the Indian context.

Badri came across the Heart Sutra in 2008, was devastated, had a fateful meeting with Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in 2009, and took refuge in 2010. His wide but gradually waning obsessions include architecture, design, curriculum design, Indian traditional architecture and crafts, DIY projects, writing, and Hindustani classical music. He serves as board member at Khyentse Foundation India and hopes to play a small part in the grand project of bringing Dharma back home to Indians.
