Originally from Taiwan, Sylvia spent 7 years in New York and 15 years in Shanghai. Sylvia met Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in 2010. She obtained a BS degree in agricultural chemistry from National Taiwan University, an MS degree from New York University for Hotel Management, and an MBA from Baruch College CUNY. Though having a certified public accountant license, she has been specialized more on the marketing and management side of real estate, ranging from hotels, serviced apartments, restaurants, offices to shopping malls. Her clients have included The Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, NYC, The St. Regis Hotel, NYC, The Regent Hotel Taipei, Bund 18, Shanghai, and Gaw Capital Partners. Sylvia is a real estate special consultant for the Investment Committee of Khyentse Foundation.
