Zubin is one of the founding members of the World Centre for Creative Learning (WCCL) Foundation and also currently the projects director of the foundation. WCCL Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Pune, India, that uses different forms of arts as therapy with children and adults with special needs and has pioneered Arts-Based Therapy (ABT) education in India. Having studied drumming since childhood and with the vision of bringing systematic music teaching to children, he developed a very simple and friendly curriculum for music and has been teaching music to children in schools and to adults for 15 years. He trained under Arthur Hull in drum circle facilitation and authored a book, Songs, Science and Spirit, with Heather Mactavish Zubin met Rinpoche in 2006 and under his guidance, along with his wife Asha Balsara and colleagues, has set up a Study of Mind division under the WCCL Foundation to support Dharma activities. He has a bachelor’s degree in production engineering from University of Pune.
