Khyentse Foundation is one of the sponsors of the 2012 Chulalongkorn-EFEO International Conference on Buddhist Studies which is being held January 6-7 at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. The theme of the conference is IMAGINATION, NARRATIVE, AND LOCALIZATION.
Keynote speeches include Brahmanas and Others in the Jatakas by Prof. Kumkum Roy of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Mapping Burma and Northern Thailand in 1795, Hamilton’s critical accounts of native maps by Dr. Jacques Leider of L’Ecole française d’Extrême-Orient.
Papers will be presented by Olivier De Bernon, Khyentse Foundation advisor Peter Skilling, François La Girarde, Justin Mcdaniel, Sukanya Sujachaya, Hwang Soonil, Ven.
