Work as Practice Scholarship
“If we apply the Three Supreme Methods to everything we do, not only does one accumulate merit, the undertaking actually becomes a paramita.” — Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche
Khyentse Foundation Work as Practice Scholarships support people who wish to acquire the practical skills they need, such as accounting or management, to benefit a dharma center, monastery, or sangha. These scholarships are intended to help the sustainability of a dharma community, and applicants should plan to use their new skills for that purpose.
KF accepts Work as Practice Scholarship applications twice a year, from December 15 – January 15 and from June 15 – July 15. Applicants will be notified by May 15 and November 15, respectively.
Applications are reviewed by an international selection committee appointed by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
KF Work as Practice scholarships are awarded based on the scope of the project.
August 2020 – Khyentse Foundation is in the process of moving to an online application platform. The online portal will be open to applicants in late Fall 2020. Thank you for your patience and if you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
