In October, 2020, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche did a Zabtik Drolma (Green Tara) Puja in Taipei and gave a teaching on it. The transcripts for that teaching are available here. Zabtik Drolma is open to everyone and no prerequisites are required. Rinpoche has said that anyone who would like to do the practice may do so.
As I said, this is really, really, personally my favorite puja. I think there are several reasons for that. Tārā is sort of a mother-like figure, and being female she is known to be always quick to respond. Of course, this is all dualistic thinking. But since we are dualistic, as you know, what choice do we have? Also, Tārā is one of the four main deities practiced by those great people at Nalanda University such as Nāgārjuna – even by the big, grand, great Nāgārjuna. I personally can say that the Tārā puja has helped me in so many ways.

Tara Puja and Teaching part 1 and Tara Puja and Teaching part 2
May all be auspicious for Buddha Dharma and for Kyabje Dzongsar Khyentse activities and long life! Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Svāhā
So if anyone can do the practice, that means that no tantric empowerment of any kind is required, right? I have taken refuge but haven’t received any tantric empowerments.
Yes, that’s correct.
Where does Rinpoche stays at these days?
Is it necessary to offer the green tara?
As Rinpoche said, you can but you don’t have to make material offerings.
You can also make imaginary offerings.

Hi, is there a text available for this puja – since Rinpoche is doing this again this weekend?
please refer to the Tara Altar for the updated Sadhana by Rinpoche.
Please clarify. Puja will go on the whole day. Does it mean that the Sadhana will be reciting non stop? It ends and immediately starts again? Can I start any time? Thank you.

Hi Juliane,
We do not know yet.
Please watch for more information in the coming weeks and months as plans develop to support the practice.
Thank you.
Are there any plans to release any more resources for this sadhana like how to do the mudras? It would be wonderful to be able to incorporate them into the practice.
Thank you, Rinpoche and KF Admins!
