Overview
As social media videographer at Khyentse Foundation, you will work closely with KF’s communications team and play an important role in expanding creative ideation and production for our growing social media team. Your primary responsibility will be to produce high-quality video content tailored for our social media platforms. Your role will encompass ideating, planning, and creating content that tells the story of KF, drives engagement, and elevates our social media presence.
Main Responsibilities
Content Ideation and Creation
- Work with the communications team to develop creative concepts for social media video content that align with KF’s brand identity and social media strategy
- Proactively provide input on strategic enhancements to improve content and discover unique ways to engage with our target audience
- Monitor and share video and photography trends within pop-culture for Gen-Z and Millennial audience
Production
- Apply trends in motion graphics and animation to video work
- Create short animations for our website, emails, and social channels
- Organize and manage digital content and storage of video and photo assets
Post-Production
- Manage all aspects of the video editing process, including color correction, graphics and effects incorporation, sound design, music, and exporting to create engaging and shareable social media content
- Ensure that the content is tailored to meet the specific requirements and formats of each social media platform
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, etc.)
- Highly efficient video editing workflow and knowledge
- Great working knowledge of the social media landscape and content best practices
- Ability to translate the creative vision of videographers, designers, and copywriters into an engaging final product
- Skilled in animation and motion graphics, and comfortable partnering with designers to bring a vision to life
- A team player willing to be flexible and handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- An impeccable eye for detail and excellent time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual working proficiency in oral and written English and Chinese (simplified and traditional)
- 3-5 years demonstrated professional experience in video editing and animation (experience of Gen-Z brands is a plus)
- 1+ years experience of Buddhist study or practice.
