Grants & Scholarships
Supporting Buddhist studies and practice is at the heart of Khyentse Foundation’s mission, and our grant and scholarship programs are the way we connect with you and learn about your work. The foundation supports a wide range of dharma studies, practice, and activities.
Awardees include Buddhist teachers, students, scholars, educators, translators, practitioners, and retreatants. In the nonsectarian spirit of the Khyentse lineage, we support all Buddhist traditions from all parts of the world.
As of March 2026, we are not accepting applications for the following scholarship and grant programs: Buddhist Studies Scholarships, PhD Scholarships, Ashoka Grants, Trisong Grants, and Individual Practice Grants. Khyentse Foundation is now in its 25th year of operations, and while these programs have been an integral part of our story, we recognize that in this age of Artificial Intelligence, we must adapt and change. We will use this hiatus to reevaluate how programs like this can be of even greater benefit in the future.
