“Thank you so much for coming. For some of you it may be quite late, is it? Quite early and quite late. Also thank you, as always, for giving a lot of your heart and love and care and time and energy and ideas, among many other things.

I don’t have much to say. I think we all know that Khyentse Foundation is kind of unique, not so much with other reasons but because basically a lot of the decisions end up being made by me, I guess. And kind of dictated—is that the right word? And I guess it has some virtue in it, because when we started Khyentse Foundation we started with this psychology that something needed to be done quite urgently. You know, like we are at some sort of junction, that we need to really act fast. So, from that point of view, I think sometimes, not to have to go through all the consensus and all of that may have contributed a little bit just to keep things moving faster. And I think we should celebrate and rejoice [in what we have accomplished] within this time.

I think relatively it’s not that old, Khyentse Foundation. Within this short time I think we have achieved quite a lot, and I think we should be really happy with that. And we still have a lot of aspiration to do a lot of things. But now I think we can also afford to be a little bit more, like, instead of the urgency kind of attitude all the time, we can maybe, like, ‘let’s do this,’ kind of … I don’t know. Because also the time is changing—young blood, young technology, young way of communicating, this is where I am not good at all. So I think, input from the younger generation, and then looking forward, I think maybe it is also important that we do things, I don’t know, ‘professional’ is maybe not the right word, but something that will protect KF from all kinds of chance of getting or being mishandled or something like that. This is the current thought that has been hovering in my head for some time, and I wanted to express that. So, I am asking anyone here, if you feel that we need to change a certain way of doing things, please express very freely. I think this is also a good time. We now have Lynn taking care of KF, so this would be a good starting [point], also. So, that’s it. Thank you so much.”
