Losar Message from Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche
OM YE DHARMA HETU-PRABHAVA HETUM TESHAM TATHAGATO HYAVADAT TESHAM CHA YO NIRODHA EVAM VADI MAHASHRAMANAH SVAHA
OM YE DHARMA HETU-PRABHAVA HETUM TESHAM TATHAGATO HYAVADAT TESHAM CHA YO NIRODHA EVAM VADI MAHASHRAMANAH SVAHA
For those of us who have the privilege and good fortune to have time even to think about Losar, I offer my prayers and aspirations that this Dragon Year will not completely throw us off balance.
I pray to Avalokiteśvara for those who do not have the luxury of time to think about Losar or any other such occasion, because they may be waiting for their shelter to be bombed. I pray that Avalokiteśvara will embrace them with his compassion and that they quickly see the end of all the pain and suffering they are going through right now.
I pray to the Lord of the Three Worlds, Lokeśvara, that all those autocrats, plutocrats and technocrats who make us their toys, will come to their senses and see that their deception of the rest of the world will eventually backfire on them.
All in all, I wish that the coming years, months, days and hours will bring happiness and benefit.
